The Eco-Committee had the lovely task of building 6 bird boxes from scratch so that they could put them in our forest school for birds to use to increase our biodiversity.
They worked in pairs to work out where each piece of wood went and then nailed the pieces of wood together. They then decorated their bird boxes with paint and varnished them to protect their beautiful designs from being ruined by the rain.
Mr Travis kindly put the bird boxes up some of the trees on our school field and we have already noticed more birds making a home in our school grounds. What a success!
