OLMC have taken part in the RSPB's Big Schools' Bird Watch where each class took part in a bird survey by exploring the school grounds and counting how many birds they could see. The Eco leaders in each class used the bird IDs to help their class understand which birds they had spotted to complete the tally charts accurately. The children really enjoyed using the binoculars and working together.
The school even received a certificate for taking part and submitting the data.
