Black History Month21 October 2022 (by williamsc) |
Black History Month is a time for reflection and positive changes for the future. During the event, people can celebrate the outstanding contributions that Black people have made to society across the globe, both today and historically. The theme this year in October is ‘Black Health and Wellness.' With this theme in mind we looked at the work of Harriet Tubman who helped thousands of enslaved people to escape and then trained to be a nurse and opened a elderly home to house the sick and injured. We created a flap book to display the information we had learnt in a creative way. Great work Year 6.
