Year 1 had a visit from Mrs Jordan, who taught them all about algorithms.
Here is the video she shared from Youtube, which tells you all about what an algorithm is:
The Year 1 children had to pretend to be robots and follow some algorithms for how to do a dance. Some children even wrote their own algorithms!
Year 1 are really...
It was Monkey's birthday on Monday and to celebrate he had a party and shared food with his friends.
At the party there were 4 animals altogether so Monkey had to split the food into quarters.
Year 1 had to make sure they shared the pizza, chocolate and biscuit into 4 equal parts to get quarters.
This week year 1 children planted sunflower seeds. They whispered to their seed before planting it telling them how much they love them, how they will water them each day and how they promise to look after them to help them grow. The children also explored and made mud pies!!
Today, a parcel arrived in year 4, it travelled from one group of children to the next, what they didn't know was that it contained the plague!
Year 4 have been learning about The Black Death as part of their history topic and today they learnt which countries the plague travelled through to reach England.
The fleas escaped and infected everyone.
Today in Year 6 we have been studying blood. We have learnt about what blood is made up of and the jobs of each part. As part of this we have made our own man-made blood using raspberries, marshmallows, sprinkles and juice.
