Throughout the year we have collected our reading reports. Reports are completed when a child finishes a book and are very important to show children’s understanding of what they have read. The count is in and Year 5 read an incredible 982 books, which works out roughly as 168 per half term and roughly 27 per week. Well done...

Yesterday in RE we listened to a speech that Pope Benedict XVI gave to children in England, Scotland and Wales. We then discussed what advice we would give if we were in the Pope's position before writing a speech of own.

This morning in Year 4 we discussed last night's football match and how well England did to make it to the semi-final! We all agreed that we were happy at how far we had made and that we would still have a nice day regardless of the result. We then performed Wonderful World in makaton.
