National Young Writers’ Award

Today we had a special assembly telling us all about the National Young Writers’ award. We have all been invited to take part in this competition to write a story about every day heroes.

During this talk we played top trumps as two big teams comparing the strengths of different heroes, which included astronauts and guide dogs!

The top prize for this competition includes £500 worth of books for school, a visit from David Walliams to the school and for the invidual winner a trip to Disneyland Paris!

Each child will receive a competition booklet to write their story in, it can also be typed on the computer, or even submitted online. The booklets can then be handed back into school. The deadline for this competition is 29th April. All details can be found in the booklet.
