Today in Year 6 we have been studying blood. We have learnt about what blood is made up of and the jobs of each part. As part of this we have made our own man-made blood using raspberries, marshmallows, sprinkles and juice.
In June our Science club took part in the Great Science Share at the University of Manchester. We had prepared a science investigation looking at how a culprit in a crime could be caught using only a ransom note, this was through a process called chromatography. Yesterday in RE we listened to a speech that Pope Benedict XVI gave to children in England, Scotland and Wales. We then discussed what advice we would give if we were in the Pope's position before writing a speech of own.
What a wonderful performance of Treachery at Traitors Quay. The children have worked really hard and really enjoyed their end of year 6 show. Thank you to all those who came to watch the children perform and I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
We had a great morning at our annual Early Years Sports day. It was lovely to see so many parents come to cheer the children on.
