Year one had a great time out in the forest this week. They found a pack of tree dogs!!! The children took the tree dogs for a walk and made them dinner. Our children also looked for spiders, found our newly planted tree, climbed trees, made a boat and sailed to a desert island.
Year two had a great forest school session today. They played hide and seek, built dens and worked together. A lot of laughter was heard and a lot of fun had. The children also showed such great respect for the fire that they were trusted to help put it out during their reflection time.
Our reception children enjoyed their time out in the forest today digging holes for our new trees, working together to pull up sticks, playing in the hut and practising their balancing skills on the plank. It was hard work digging the mud.
Today in Science club we have been preparing our experiment for The Great Science Share! We have been carrying out a chromatography experiment to show the different dyes used in felt tip pens!
Today we listened to the story from the bible about Creation and said thank you to God for our beautiful world. We thought about all the love and care that God put into making the earth. We also thought about all the people who live on this earth- people of different races and faiths, young and old, happy and sad...
This week the children have been finding equivalent fractions. We used a cut up fraction wall to help us see which fractions were equivalent to 1/2, 1/4 and other unit fractions.
