Year 6 were treated to a workshop all about transition from primary to secondary school. It was very much an interactive session dealing with everything they may face as they move to their respective secondary schools. Lots of drama and practical group work helped them to understand the changes ahead.
Year 6 are really into their Apprentice Project now and are at the stage of thinking about their advert. We have Barry Stone, a project mentor, from Manchester Airport coming in tomorrow to help the children design their posters.
I am holding an information meeting for all the parents of the children going to Robinwood on the 2nd July. This meeting will be after school at 3.15pm on Wednesday 27th June 2018. All must attend. Thank you
Today in Science club we have been preparing our experiment for The Great Science Share! We have been carrying out a chromatography experiment to show the different dyes used in felt tip pens!
A few of our year six children planted a White Arum Lily in our peace garden today which was donated from one of our grandparents. Thank you for the lovely plant, we will always think of year six when we look at it.
Today Year 6 have started their Apprentice Project. Over the upcoming weeks they will work together in their teams to create a campaign for sun safety.
