Those children who received a Special Mention last week were also given an extra award of hot chocolate and cakes on Friday. The children were ecstatic to have the opportunity to put marshmallows and sprinkles on their drinks.
Thanks for the memories, Mr Barker.
In Geography today we used plasticine models to help us understand the different layers of the earth. We talked with our partners about the crust, mantle, outer layer and inner layer. This led to conversations about creation and who made the earth.
The children learned about their core muscles and did a tricky exercise to help strengthen these important muscles.
Freddie explained how the muscles worked and why it was difficult. He had the help of a volunteer.
The children also learned the importance of cooling down after exercise!
As a reward for excellent behaviour, the two classes joined together for a fun exercise time, courtesy of Freddie Fit! They had to listen carefully to instructions about safety and how to do the exercises. They also discussed which muscles they used in each exercise so it was very informative. Well done Year 3 and 4 for listening so...
Today, Year 3 took a quick trip to King George V playing fields, to seek inspiration for a story about a bee that couldn't stop sneezing. We had a look at the hives and the surrounding area. Then once we were back in class we brainstormed vocabulary to describe the hives.
In Year 3 we read Mark's Gospel that tells us about the events leading upto Jesus arrest. The class discussed the point of view of the different people such as Peter and thought about how they felt at what had happened to Jesus.
