In Year 5 as part of their science, they have been investigating forces. Today, we looked at the force of gravity. They weighed objects from around the room (whatever they could get their hand on) to compare weight and mass. Mass is measured in grams, kilograms etc, whereas weight is measured in Newtons.
Thanks for the memories, Mr Barker.
The children learned about their core muscles and did a tricky exercise to help strengthen these important muscles.
Freddie explained how the muscles worked and why it was difficult. He had the help of a volunteer.
The children also learned the importance of cooling down after exercise!
As a reward for excellent behaviour, the two classes joined together for a fun exercise time, courtesy of Freddie Fit! They had to listen carefully to instructions about safety and how to do the exercises. They also discussed which muscles they used in each exercise so it was very informative. Well done Year 3 and 4 for listening so...
Year 1 have been learning all about Neil Armstrong.
We had lots of fun in year 1 on World Book Day.
Thank you so much for all the effort with the fantastic costumes, the children looked great!
In year 1 we invited classes to come and design a bookmark. Everyone was really creative and we hope they will be putting their bookmarks to good use as they continue to enjoy their reading.
