We received a special task from Detectective Meg. She wants us to help her to read the time on an analogue clock. We completed some fantastic work and challenged our learning during the ‘Chilli Challenge’.
It was Monkey's birthday on Monday and to celebrate he had a party and shared food with his friends.
At the party there were 4 animals altogether so Monkey had to split the food into quarters.
Year 1 had to make sure they shared the pizza, chocolate and biscuit into 4 equal parts to get quarters.
Year 1 took tape measures out into the forest last week to see if they could guess the age of our trees. They measured the circumference of the tree in inches which gave us an estimation of it's age. Our children found trees that were roughly 40, 48 and 59 years old!!

In our creative writing lesson, we could not believe what we walked into! There was a crime scene left in our classroom. We shared the story of the 'Paper Bag Princess'. We used drama to express how angry we were with Prince Ronald for telling the Princess how disgraceful she looked after rescuing him.
