In maths we have been understanding multiplication by putting numbers into equal groups. We worked in Kagan groups to identify the different groups they could group the number 24 into e.g. 3 equal groups of 10.
Year 4 have been working really hard this week learning to change between seconds, minutes and hours. This morning they worked together in their teams to compare different times by converting them into different units of measurement.
Today we have been naming 3d shapes and talking about their properties. We were blindfolded and had to identify the shape using our sense of touch. We finished by sorting common objects with our Kagan groups.
Today St James C of E Primary School came to collaborate with our school choir. Both schools performed their own numbers before coming together to sing a song with two parts. The children in year one came together in the forest today to celebrate their last session until they return to school in September as year two. The children created their favourite activities from their previous sessions and enjoyed pizza made on the Fire.
