Today we had the opportunity to interview a nurse to find out what life is like in hospitals today. We found out about how nurses look after patients, work with doctors and comfort people at hard times. We looked at her uniform and found out why they wear an upside down watch. In maths we have been understanding multiplication by putting numbers into equal groups. We worked in Kagan groups to identify the different groups they could group the number 24 into e.g. 3 equal groups of 10.
We had fun and learned a lot!
In maths today the children were asked a Big Question about Multiplication and Division. It was why do we need to learn them?

Initially the children talked in groups and came up with words associated with multiplication and division and Miss Kirkup wrote them on the board....
After just 4 weeks of training the Our Lady's Dance Troop entered a compeition and amazingly finihsed second. There was also two individaul awards for Grace and Daniel who took part in a dance off. The group performed infront of a full house and did an excellent job. The video below is their performance.
