Year 1 had a great History Day. They learnt about the two World Wars by doing different workshops in each class and even met a World War I soldier. At the end of the day they got to celebrate the end of the war with a street party!
We would like to say a huge thank you to Chris from am tree services for the magnificent delivery of tree stumps and logs for our forest. We can't wait to put them to good use and will keep you updated with how we use them. Thank you again.
Children had the opportunity to visit the Year 2 workshop and find out what it was like to be an evacuee during World War 2. We found out what we had to pack in our suitcase and imagined how it would feel to be sent to the countryside without our family.
Yesterday the school collected the prestigious School Games Platinum Award from Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham - one of only four schools in Tameside to do so. All the children and staff at the school should be immensely proud of this achievement.
