The children came and sat in the Peace Garden and retold the story of Pentecost. Then they sat silently and listened to the sounds around them and felt the breeze. After that they wrote a prayer on a dove and it was hung on the fence.
Today we welcomed our Reception, Year Five, Year Six, children from St Christopher's, Mrs Hayes, Father Simon and Mrs Aspin into the forest. The children worked well together to solve the clues of the treasure hunt finding marshmallows and biscuits at the end! As the Holy Spirit gave us the gift of fire we roasted the marshmallows and squeezed...
Today we have come together as a community to celebrate Pentecost with a special Mass for the whole School, our wonderful Families and the GIFT team from St Christopher's RC Primary School.
It was also a special occasion for our Year 3 class, who after celebrating their First Holy Communion, on Saturday received the sacrament for the first time in School...
Today we raised money to support the work of the Salesian Sisters in Nairobi. A team of teachers are travelling to Nairobi to support two schools and provide new resources and create new experiences for the children. We raised £264.84 to support this wonderful cause.
As well as the statue in the Peace Garden, the GIFT Team have also prepared some displays. Here are some of the children cutting out daisies.

As it is the 1st of May some girls from our GIFT Team prepared a crown, flowers and materials for the statue of Mary in our Peace Garden.
Year 1 and Year 2 were invited to join a procession to the statue and sing the hymns "Bring Flowers of the Rarest" and "Ave Maria Gratia Plena"
