Makaton is a sign language program used by some of our children to communicate, you may have seen it used by Mr Tumble from Cbeebies.
Each week will bring a new ‘Sign of the week’ for you to practice and use to talk to each other. Remember that all signs are led from your right hand side, the videos will show this in a mirror image so be sure to pick the right hand!
This morning in Year 4 we discussed last night's football match and how well England did to make it to the semi-final! We all agreed that we were happy at how far we had made and that we would still have a nice day regardless of the result. We then performed Wonderful World in makaton.
This week's sign of the week is 'please and thankyou'! Remember 'please' comes down to your tummy and 'thank you' is much shorter. Maybe you could use it at snack and lunchtime. Happy signing!!

Our first sign of the week is 'hello'.
Can't wait to see you all use it around school!
