Today the children used evidence to find out about the beliefs of the people of the Shang Dynasty. They had a whole class discussion , then they used other evidence to create a poster about what the people of the Shang Dynasty believed.
In PHSE this week, we have been discussing our dreams for the future. We have aspiring midwives, teachers and doctors.
As well as dreams of being an olympic swimmer, a basketball player, a sky diver and lots of gamers!
Today during our PSHE session in Reception, we have been talking about things that we find hard. Today the children researched the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. We discussed how it links to the events in Scripture about Jesus journey to the cross in Holy Week.
The children used the Bibles to research the different mysteries and then they presented their findings to the class.
The children learned about their core muscles and did a tricky exercise to help strengthen these important muscles.
Freddie explained how the muscles worked and why it was difficult. He had the help of a volunteer.
The children also learned the importance of cooling down after exercise!
As a reward for excellent behaviour, the two classes joined together for a fun exercise time, courtesy of Freddie Fit! They had to listen carefully to instructions about safety and how to do the exercises. They also discussed which muscles they used in each exercise so it was very informative. On Monday 29th January Say2 Theatre productions came an performed the William Shakespeare Comedy - A Midsummer Night's Dream. The children really enjoyed watching it and found it quite funny. After the production the children did a workshop where they looked at some key scenes and acted them out.
