In maths we have been understanding multiplication by putting numbers into equal groups. We worked in Kagan groups to identify the different groups they could group the number 24 into e.g. 3 equal groups of 10.
We had fun and learned a lot!
In maths today the children were asked a Big Question about Multiplication and Division. It was why do we need to learn them?
Here is a photo of our thoughts that Miss Kirkup wrote on the board.
Initially the children talked in groups and came up with words associated with multiplication and division and Miss Kirkup wrote them on the board....
Year 2 looked at how we could share a number equally into groups using division. We received a task from Detective Meg to share out sweets equally at her party! We all enjoyed challenging our learning.
In Maths we have been looking at mulitplication. As a fun way to engage the children I created a treasure hunt where they had to answer one question to find the next. Once they had answered all questions they would know the number code. The lesson was great as the children were all up and moving about. There were...
In year 3 the children used maps and the interactive board in class to plan a route from the Holy trinity Basilica to Wawel Castle. We learned how to say road names in Polish as well as writing instructions as a class.

We created our ownreoeating patterns using two colours and our challenge then was to use three colours. We found it a little tricky at first but we used threading beads and different shapes to help us.
In Year2 we have been learning about the sacrament of Baptism. The sacrament welcomes people into God's family
The Baptism candle represents that Christ is the light of the world. We were asked if we think Jesus is the light of the world. We share our answers with different people during a 'Speed Share'!
