In Year 5 today we were using manipulatives to prove our answers. The children did very well explaining why something was "Never, Sometimes or Always". Today we were busy sorting triangles, squares, oblongs and circles. We even sorting stars, hearts, crosses and oval shapes. Our teacher was very proud of us. We had great fun making our shape monsters.
Today Year 2 received a letter from Detective Meg to solve a problem. Some donuts were left in her office so it was up to Year 2 to work out the number sentences! We looked at how we could use arrays to make number sentences with the donuts!
Today we had great fun being Shape Detectives. We had to look all around our school to find different shapes and record them on our tally chart. We looked for circles, squares, oblongs, triangles and even hexagons. Can you do the same at home?
