After performing our dance in the closing ceremony representing Trinidad and Tobago , Year 2 enjoyed a feast of tropical fruits and ginger cake. Harrison's grandma even made us a delicious cake showing the flag of Trinidad.

The GIFT Team Prayer Group started today and they worked with some children in 2 to write prayers about what they were thankful for. They had planned to go outside and write in chalk, but the weather wasn't very kind.

On Saturday 17th June 2017 sixteen children from Our Lady's made their First Holy Communion at St Ann's in Ashton. They were joined by some children from other schools who were on the Sacramental Programme with them.

Yesterday Miss Kirkup and 4 children from the GIFT Team spent the day with the Australian Composer and Educator John Burland.

Children had a visit from the Happy Puzzle Company.
They really enjoyed a number of different activities including games, puzzles, and brain teasers. The children had to use concentration, determination and work as part of a team to complete the challenges given to them. After school there was a special workshop for parents and their children.
