Year 2 have been thinking about forgiveness and making fresh starts by saying sorry and trying harder next time to do the right thing. We listened to the story of Zacchaeus and wrote our own sorry prayers.
The children have created a rainbow of hands to remind us of the colours that represent the different continents of the world. In Nursery, the children were praying for Asia as part of our day for Mission Rosary. We looked at Asia on Google Maps and said our prayer in our heads.

Today Miss McIntyre , with the help of some children, asked and answered such questions as
What is work?
Are some jobs more important than others?

We told the story of Pentecost in our own words through drama. Listening to the story of Mother Teresa we had to choose some of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and explain how we too could lead better lives by helping others.

This week we have been studying The Eucharist and we have linked this part of the mass to 'The Last supper' and found the words in the bible. We are beginning to understand how the mass reminds us of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us.
