As Timon and Pumba would say.
Over 800,000 different species of invertebrates share our world with us. We weren't looking for that many today fortunately. We did find several different species on our school field - we are going to design a key to classify them....
We have had a really good start to our history topic on Romans. The children have enjoyed drawing their story maps of Claudius, the chieftain and the elephants. They were all very polite and praised my efforts when I drew an elephant. Ask them to tell you the story. We have learnt some interesting words and phrases.
Today we welcomed Mr Crosby into class and learnt about how CAFOD are helping other countries by campaigning, asking the world bank to supply funding for renewable energy.
The children wrote on sun rays to promote this message.
A very warm welcome back to school. It was lovely to meet so many of you on our first day back - soon I will be able to match you up with your child, without asking Mrs Nadin for help.

Each day, pupils in year 4 complete 30 mental arithmetic problems, 10 simple sums, ten times tables and ten tricky questions. Today, three of our wonderful mathematicians scored 30 out of 30. Children could choose to either wear fancy dress - related to Alice in Wonderland or 'posh' clothes that you would wear for afternoon tea with the Queen. We received lots of donations of cakes, biscuits, sandwiches and the most impressive fruit kebabs. A...

This week in maths we have been learning about fractions. The following website has some interactive games which will provide extra help whilst the children play.
Obviously the best help you can give is to practice times tables on a daily basis - this will help in many areas of maths.
