Year 2 and Reception gathered for our class worship today. We looked at how Jesus showed his love for us when he died on the cross. Children from Year 2 worked with children from Reception to find reasons why Jesus loves us.
Today our Reception children enjoyed the mud. They chose a tree and created some fabulous pictures using mud as the paint and sticks or their fingers as brushes. Afterwards a few of the children made muddy handprints on the container wall, mud pizzas and mud pies.
We listened to the story of when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. The people waved their palms and put them them onto the floor to make a carpet for Jesus . We sang Sing Hosanna just like the crowds did for Jesus.
Yesterday, Reception took part in a science experiment. We have been talking all about plants and flowers and how they grow. We have set up a science experiment to see whether our beans can grow in a bag using a wet paper towel and sunlight from our window. The children thought about whether the bean would grow or not...
