Year 1 had a great History Day. They learnt about the two World Wars by doing different workshops in each class and even met a World War I soldier. At the end of the day they got to celebrate the end of the war with a street party!
As part of their history work , Year 1 brought in some photographs of themselves from when they were tiny babies to how they are now at age 6. They then put them in chronological order using a timeline.
Year 1 were very excited to use school’s new ipads on Monday. They had to take photographs of their partner, chose the best ones and use PicCollage to display them. Some children even added text and changed the background.
Year 1 have been learning to tell the time to the hour with a little help from Jack Hartman.
They played a game from 'Maths Of The Day' trying to match times and clock faces.
Year 1 have been learning all about Internet safety this week with Smartie the Penguin.

They had to look carefully at the number of tens and ones in the number.
