We celebrated all of our hard work and achievements in Year 2 with a tea party. We began by creating our own table cloth with alliteration e.g. Sizzling sausages. It was a great way to finish off our fantastic time in Year 2 before beginning our new journey into Key Stage 2.
We have been learning about the Sacrament of Reconcilation and how the choices we make are very important. We looked at different ways of making the sign of peace other than shaking hands. We also made up our own broken and mended dances using instruments of our choice.
The children in Year 2 have been following the story of the Queen's Knickers. The queen has a different pair of knickers for all of her royal occasions. We began by designing many more knickers for many more of her royal visits.
After performing our dance in the closing ceremony representing Trinidad and Tobago , Year 2 enjoyed a feast of tropical fruits and ginger cake. Harrison's grandma even made us a delicious cake showing the flag of Trinidad.
Year 2 have been thinking about forgiveness and making fresh starts by saying sorry and trying harder next time to do the right thing. We listened to the story of Zacchaeus and wrote our own sorry prayers.
