Our fundraising event was a huge success and again I would like to thank all the parents of the children in Year 6 for helping to make some cakes for our cake sale. We had an own clothes day and two cake sales and we made a grand total of £179.14 Wow, that is amazing well done year...
Our reception children enjoyed working on their team building skills this week out in the forest. They made a huge den, enjoyed keeping warm by the fire and climbing trees. The children used what they had learnt in their PHSE lesson this week and encouraged each other to 'never give up' when they thought they couldn't climb the tree.
Year 2 have raised an amazing £450 for CAFOD through their sponsored walk. Miss Bostock and Mrs Renshaw have been blown always by the determination and generosity of our Year 2 children and their families.
We had a very special visitor today. The Easter Bunny came to remind us about how Jesus rose from the dead and so left us lots of eggs to find. These chocolate eggs remind us of Jesus’ new life when he rose again on Easter Sunday.
Year 1 worked on how to climb a tree independently with peer support. The children worked very well together, showing where to put their hands and feet next and encouraging each other to keep trying. The children remembered our fire safety rule and enjoyed their biscuits and hot chocolate around the fire....
Year 1 managed to collect an amazing 1,163 two-pence coins, making a total of £23.26 for CAFOD.
They had great fun this afternoon counting all the money. It even helped their maths skills, counting in multiples of 2.
They managed to fill 4 whole squares on their rug.
Some keen helpers then bagged up the money into £1s.
