Today we looked at how we could record data using a pictograms. We decided what our favourite flavour of ice-cream was and created a pictogram. Then we used our information that we collected yesterday to create our own pictogram!

We have been learning about the important parts of a Catholic church.
We identified and talked about things that we knew already. Some of us remembered the font and Easter candle that we had learnt about in our work on baptism.
We then watched a video to help us learn about other things that can be seen in a Catholic church.
Due to the weather, we had our forest school adventure indoors this week.
We talked about our bug hotel and what things we could put inside it to entice bugs in there. We then made bugs that we thought might want to visit our bug hotel e.g. centipedes, caterpillars, butterflies, ladybirds.
Today we had the opportunity to interview a nurse to find out what life is like in hospitals today. We found out about how nurses look after patients, work with doctors and comfort people at hard times. We looked at her uniform and found out why they wear an upside down watch. In Year 2, we have been looking at the gospels in the bible. Today we read about the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan. We used role play to tell the story using drama in our Kagan groups.
The last Special Mentions before we broke up were a spectacular event and enjoyed by all who attended. The wonderful children who were recognised this time, are pictured below.
